It's a beautiful, sunny day in Paris, but for a particular fashion-shoot staff it's the relaxed before the storm. All is peaceful on the set-until Irina Lazareanu blows in, that is. Bouncing around like a boxer before a big match, Lazareanu - dressed in a bright red dress-moves more like a modern-jazz ballerina than a high-fashion model.
Well-known for her loving ties to rocker Pete Doherty and her some- times-BFF relationship with Kate Moss, Lazareanu, 26, has stormed plenty of catwalks and enriched the covers of hundreds of fashion glossies, including ELLE Canada. But she's more than a simply one-note wonder: The girl has a lot more than modelling on her mind.To be completely honest, her incredibly professional look doesn't precisely scream high fashion to me, nor does it express that underground vibe sought out by publications with real street cred. Her body type also is different from the very long and lean lines runway models can create with their limbs. Which of program doesn't take anything away from miss Lima's beauty, it just makes it all the more surprising that i've been experiencing her in extremely unlikely places, particularly a fashion content in the March issue of Elle, a walk down Givenchy's runway last week and an creative turn as Amy Winehouse in the new Love magazine, Katie Grand's recent Conde Nast venture. Is this some sort of comeback, or should i say new commencing for the voluptuous brazilian model?
